The MSS Video Production and Teleconferencing (VP&T) team produces broadcast quality recorded programs for instructional, informational, and documentary uses. 
They offer both studio- and location-based video production services, and finalize productions with top-quality enhancements.
Any videos produced for university clients can be uploaded to Kaltura for long-term hosting. Kaltura automatically generates machine-made captions via automated speech recognition, with 70-80% accuracy.
Live Captioning Options
While the Video Production and Teleconferencing team does not provide captioning as a service directly, we can recommend several resources to assist you. Events live streamed via VCU Kaltura server can be captioned with the assistance of a third-party vendor such as AML-Global or Caption First, with trained transcriptionists who can view the live stream and add captions in real time. Note: There is a fee for vendor services.
